Donation by Dunkeswell Church

dunkeswell-pcc-donation-2016

St Nicholas Church, Dunkeswell raised an amazing £2000 that they were able to donate to local charities. Cheques for £1000 each were given to the Blackdown Support Group and WHERE (Westcountry Health & Education Research Enterprise).

The Blackdown Support Group cares for young and old, for those in need of extra help when sick or suffering from accidents, disabilities or advancing years.

WHERE supports adults with a disability. They create a safe and friendly environment to reduce adult loneliness and encourage friendships and learning together.

Dunkeswell Church has also supported Honiton Food Bank, Christian Aid, The Children’s Society and contributed towards the village Defibrillator.

The photo above shows Churchwarden, Mr Peter Girling presenting the cheques to representatives from the Blackdown Support Group and WHERE
