Prayer Week 4th to 8th November 2024

We warmly invite you to join us for our week of prayer wherever you are and whenever you are able.  Each day we have a different focus:

Monday 4th Nov Educational Institutions – Schools, colleges and universities – Teachers, staff, students and parents,
Tuesday 5th Nov Health and Emergency Services and personnel
Wednesday 6th Nov Those who serve the community in local government and councils; our Church communities and leaders; Bishop Mike, our New Bishop of Exeter.
Thursday 7th Nov For all who suffer as a result of conflict or natural or manmade disaster.
Friday 8th Nov For us all; family, friends, neighbours and our farming Community

All our Churches will be open for private prayer and reflection.
St. Andrew’s, Broadhembury
Has a boat and a fishing net set up on the font. People will be encouraged to write a prayer on a paper fish and attach them to the net. The boat is called the ‘Fisher of Men’.
St. Mary’s, Luppitt
There is a prayer tree inside the Church. Prayers may be written on the parcel labels provided and tied onto the tree or bring any shape to add to the tree. There is a sheet of themed prayers for each day.
A service of Prayer Through the Day will be held every day at 2pm, attendees would be very welcome indeed.
St. John the Baptist, Plymtree
A prayer tree has been installed for the prayer week at the front of the church in Plymtree with paper leaves for people to write a prayer and to attach to the tree.
St. Mary the Virgin, Upottery
We have provided coloured cards in our prayer corner for people to write requests on and put in basket which will be put on the alter. There will be someone in our church every morning 9 to 10 to help or pray with.
