St. Andrew’s, Broadhembury: Remembrance Sunday update from Bill Sivewright

For those who were in church on Sunday you will have heard me announce that, in light of the PM’s Saturday statement, we would be cancelling our plans to hold our Remembrance Sunday service at the War memorial.  Well, the PM has just stated, very clearly, that Remembrance Sunday Services can go ahead as long as they are held outdoors!

So, here is the new plan:

We will go ahead with a much-abbreviated Remembrance Sunday event consisting of the laying of wreaths, 2 minute silence and the dismissal.  With that in mind, we do not need to start until 10.50.   So, the good news is that you now have an extra 20 minutes to get there.

With the ‘Rule of 6’ no longer valid, the principles of social distancing will apply to all those from different households.
