Thursday 7 November – Prayers for those who suffer

For those in need, O Lord, we make our prayers:
The sick in mind or body, the blind and the deaf,
The sorrowing, the anxious and the perplexed.
Give them courage, patience, and peace of heart, and do for them whatever is for their good; for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
 
God of love, look mercifully upon those who are now facing the bitterness of bereavement, and give them your peace.
Help them to tread the lonely path before them with faith and courage; and strengthen their hope in Him who overcame death and opened for us the gate of life, your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ.  Amen.
